Project 6 - Fight the Power!

"Grrr, I hate that stupid test!"  Ever said that?  Well you've probably been taken by the test, but now it's time for YOU to finally take over!  Let's redefine "take the test" to "take that test and show it who is boss!"

At the end of each school year, testing is inevitable (good test word, eh?).  But CDAT students have a reputation for success:  beating the school, County and State average.  Your time has come!  Want to be a winner, a test-crusher, part of the win?  Here we go!!

This project is about you taking over, putting your spin on learning and preparing for the test.  Some of you might think "Really?  Getting ready for a test?  How is that real?"  Well, according to Bloomberg News, the test prep market is about $1 Billion.  Or how about these teachers who make hundreds of thousands of dollars selling their lesson plans?

You will use your skills, and your learning style, to make your ideal test review. This should be a NEW form of review- no Jeopardy games, no simple flashcards, and no "trashket" ball. You will incorporate all standards necessary from your Science and Language Arts teachers.  Regarding technology, you are highly encouraged to use your favorite skill.  However, if you have a great idea that does not involve your tech, you can simply do some tech lessons separate from the project.  You can make active games, anything else that would be fun for YOU to use as a study tool.**   If your project is really great, one of us may even post it on http://www.teacherspayteachers.com/ and give you all of the profit!

Here's the timeline:
  • March 12 we begin.
  • See the Calendar for intermediate dates - click here
  • March 26 we end, submit projects to the proper folder.

**Some will want to continue on with the a contest.  You can choose this option if your Science and Language Arts grades are good enough.  Check with your teacher.  CDAT10 Video students WILL make a video, no matter what project they are doing.
