Is the use of weapons of mass destruction justified?

*Create a project that uses research and argumentative strategies to defend and explain your position.
*Find a historical or current example of a destructive weapon that supports your position.
*Explain the ecological ramifications of that destructive event.

Friday, April 13: Project Planning Document

  1. Group member names

  2. Define weapon of mass destruction

  3. Identify three examples of WMD usage or threat

    1. Find five facts about each of your three examples

4. Based on your initial research, describe what you might want to focus your project on.

                a. Determine three research questions to investigate next week in the media center.

Wednesday, April 18: Research due via your Scrible site. You need to utilize three sources per person. Make sure your Scrible research is shared with all your group members.

Monday, April 23: Updated Project Planning Document DUE. You need to include the following:

  1. What is your position on WMDs?

  2. What historical event(s) are you basing your argument around?

  3. How will you convey your perspective? What will your final product be?

Monday, April 30 - Friday, May 4: Create your project!

Thursday, May 3: Update your Project Planning Document DUE. You need to include the following:

  1. Explain in detail how you are answering the biology standard in your project.

  2. Explain in detail how you are answering the world history standard in your project.

  3. What rhetorical strategies are you using in your presentation? Explain the argumentative techniques you are using.

Monday, May 7 - Friday, May 11: Work on revising your project
